Our team of physiotherapists are active sports women and we practice what we teach.
Meet The Team
Physiotherapists
Lizanne Tucker
B.Sc. Physio (Stell) (OMT1)
Lizanne has been a practising physiotherapist since 1992. She has been the owner of Tucker Physiotherapy since 2000.
She built this practise based on many years of varied experience, of which 3 years was spent working in the USA.
She has worked in all physiotherapy fields, and feels most passionately about helping people with orthopaedic problems caused by sporting injuries or injuries of normal life. She tries to find the root of a problem and treat it through rehabilitation and education, to prevent future injuries. She continues to challenge herself with further education and also completed a diploma in orthopaedic and manipulative therapy in 2008. She stays up to date with new research in the field and enjoys sharing this knowledge with patients.
When she is not working, you can find her enjoying the outdoors with her family. She is an avid surfer and long standing rock climber. She also enjoys to pursue these hobbies in far stretches of the world.
Elmarie Conradie
B.Sc. Physio (Stell); M.Sc. Physio (ICU)
Elmarie has been working in private practice since 1999, including two years abroad in the United Kingdom.
She obtained a wealth of experience in many areas, especially in rehabilitation of post surgical orthopedic conditions and love helping patients after joint replacements,tendon and ligament repairs and post abdominal surgery. She especially enjoys helping the elderly regain their optimal function.
She has been working at this practise since 2005 and now as a partner she manages all physiotherapy service to our in hospital patients. Here she found her special interest in managing the care and rehabilitation of patients under critical care. She completed her Masters degree in Critical Care at Stellenbosch in 2017. Elmarie also published her research in an international journal.
Outside of work she loves running, staying strong at the gym and relaxing outdoors with friends and family.
Annette Wetherall
B.Sc. Physio (Stell); M.Sc. Physio (OMT)
Annette has been working in private practice since she qualified in 1998 and has been part time at our practice since 2014.
Her special interest and post graduate training is in orthopaedic conditions and she completed her diploma in Orthopaedic and Manipulative Therapy (OMT) in 2008. She continued in this OMT field of interest and completed her Masters in Physiotherapy (OMT) in 2014.
She continues to keep her knowledge updated and is involved with post graduate OMT training and clinical supervision.
Annette loves animals and enjoys relaxing and spending time with her family and close friends as well as reading and arts and crafts when there is extra time.
Mieke Laubscher
B.Sc. Physio (Stell)
Mieke has over 10 years of clinical experience. She is a dedicated physiotherapist with a special interest in geriatric rehabilitation and the management of adults with neurological disorders.
She also has a further interest in sleep dysfunction and its impact on healing, recovery, and pain. Mieke is a proud member of the South African Society for Sleep and Health (SASSH).
Mieke is also deeply passionate about teaching and empowering people to live healthier, more active lives. Known for going the extra mile for her patients, she combines evidence-based practice with genuine care and curiosity. With an insatiable love for learning, she is continually expanding her knowledge to provide the highest standard of personalised care to all her patients.
Outside of work she stays fit with pilates and walking. After hours she loves spoiling her husband , family and friends with baking and cooking up feasts.
Claudia Frances
B.Sc. Physio (UWC)
Claudia assists Elmarie with the in hospital patients. She is a dedicated physiotherapist with more than 20 years of clinical experience across various areas of physiotherapy practice.
She enjoys working within the general hospital setting, but her primary area of interest and expertise lies in paediatrics. Claudia has more than 12yrs of experience working within a paediatric multidisciplinary team environment having served as a physiotherapist at a special needs school. Through her work in paediatrics, she has developed extensive knowledge and clinical experience in the management of paediatric neurological conditions.
She is passionate about providing patient-centred care and strives to treat every patient with dignity, respect, and compassion. Claudia places strong emphasis on building trust and establishing positive therapeutic relationships with both paediatric and adult patients, ensuring a supportive, and positive physiotherapy and hospital experience.
In addition, she has a strong interest in disability sports, particularly Para Table Tennis. Claudia is trained as a Level 1 Medical Classifier for Para Table Tennis and has served as a Medical Classifier at both Provincial and National levels. This experience has further strengthened her understanding of disability, functional disability, and inclusive participation in sport.
When Claudia is not working, she enjoys reading, walking along the beach, and spending quality time with her family.
Administrative Staff
Robyn van Wyk
Reception, Billing & Payments
Robyn is our front face of the practice and handles reception, billing and payments.
She prides herself in her precision and accuracy, but always has time to make our patients feel welcome and heard. She has been with us since 2023.
Robyn is a new mother of a little boy and enjoys spending time with him, her family and their friends.
Marile Devenish
Debtors & Creditors
Marile joined us in 2024. As our debtors and creditors clerk, she plays a key role in making sure things run smoothly behind the scenes.
Marile also helps out at reception and her empathy creates a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our patients and staff members. Marile also enjoys beautifying our space.
Outside of work she enjoys cooking, reading and relaxing at home.
Support Staff
Sekai Murambiwa
Cleaning & Maintenance
Sekai helps to keep the practice clean and tidy.
She does this with a wonderful attitude and friendliness to other staff members and patients alike.
On weekends she likes to relax by fishing and walking on the beach.
